Goals:

The customer wanted a unique roofline to compliment the distinctiveness of the residence and its sprawling view of the valley.  We provided uniformly curved and long span Glulam beams for an expansive and sloping roof system, interlocking with purlins and girders.

Achievements:

19 arched Glued laminated beams, curved with 3 distinct inside radius at a myriad of different widths, depths and lengths.

Wood Specifications:

The glulams were architectural grade as they were exposed to view, Douglas Fir for cost and ease of paint/seal and radiused per the customer’s structural and architectural plans.
