Goals:

To adapt and re-use a World War II era warehouse to extend and revitalize it’s structural life cycle. To give UCLA art and architectural students an open-air courtyard, art gallery, educational spaces and a myriad of art multi-purpose studios.

Achievements:

Long-span parabolic curved glulam beams allow for a soaring open roof, interlocked with hundreds of custom length purlins that allow the atrium to fill with natural light.

Pressure treated and Architectural Grade Douglas Fir Glulam beams, Curved to match unique Parabolic shapes.
